Cameron McLaren was the PRO for the event at SDYC. After arriving to a glassy basin in the morning, races were postponed 30 min waiting for breeze. Races took place off of the Bali Hai and Tom Ham's.



Despite the forecast which scared off several teams, 4 varsity teams and 1 JV team had a fabulous weekend of sailing. Conditions on Saturday were 4-15 knots building through the day from the south. Congratulations to Antilles School who took first by 13 points, followed by St. Thomas Aquinas, last year's winner. HB Plant JV took first in the JV Division.


Antilles School takes 2013 SAISA Girls Championship hosted by Davis Island Yacht Club


The 2013 SAISA Gold regatta was sailed to a full rotation. Academic Magnet wins Gold; followed by 2/Richmond Hill, 3/Wando, 4/Porter Gaud, 5/Bishop England, 6/Lake Norman, 7/Charleston School of the Arts - all advance to the District Championship at Ransom Everglades School (Miami).



The first fleet scrimmage for VISA was held at Norfolk Yacht and Country Club on March 9. Nine teams participated. Norfolk Collegiate and Hampton/Pheobus finished first and second based on combined results.


Jacksonville University again hosted the SAISA 2013 Spring Intersectional Regatta on Saturday, March 9, 2013. Racing was held on the St. Johns River, just off the campus shoreline. Nine schools competed in one division.
