Severn School wins 2012 Atlantic Coast Championship

Falmouth High School wins the 2012-2013 Larry A. White Invitational hosted by the U.S. Coast Guard Academy October 13-14. After 16 races they managed to lead the field of 21 boats by 8 points.


Wickford YC hosts the 2012-2013 NESSA Singlehanded Championship for the Nancy Healy Trophy. Eleven full rig and 21 radial rig sailors vied for the 3 nationals berths in each fleet. Despite mother natures best efforts to provide difficult conditions the host were able to sail three races and determine and winner.

The following teams have been selected to participate in the 2012 Lawrence A. White Trophy High School Open Fall Regatta at the USCGA in New London, CT on Oct 13-14, 2012 in accordance with the NOR. This regatta is a very popular event. I had 48 teams apply for the 22 spots. For those teams that were selected, please return e-mail to indicate that your plans have not changed and that you intend to participate. For those teams not selected, I have put you on a wait list in order of your application date and will fill any cancellations in accordance with the NOR. Thank you all for your interest in this event. It shows that High School Sailing is strong as ever because of all your efforts that you put in to running your teams

The district qualifier for the Fitz Mark trophy and 2 places at the upcoming Baker Team Race Championship.

The NESSA O'Day trophy concluded on Sunday at the Hyannis Yacht Club. Four teams qualified for the ISSA Mallory Finals in Seattle.
