ISSA Spring 2026 Eligibility Request

ISSA Spring 2026 Eligibility Request

Home or Remote School Student Request to be declared Associated with an ISSA Member School and therefore be eligible to compete for that designated school

For reference, the ISSA Procedural Rules that apply are:

1. ELIGIBILITY
1.1 ISSA MEMBER SCHOOLS
(a) In order to be a member of ISSA, the following requirements must be met:

(i) Member School: A Member School must be an educational institution where students attend the majority of their academic classes in person, on a physical campus during the traditional school year.

(ii) All Member Schools must be properly recognized by their ISSA District.

(iii) Member Schools shall be properly registered through their District before participating in a regatta. The Organizing Authority may deny entry to a school from an ISSA event if that school is not properly registered.

(b) Remote Schools

(i) A Remote School cannot be a Member School.

(ii) A Remote School is an educational institution where students do not attend the majority of their academic classes in person, on a physical campus during the traditional school year. This category includes virtual schools, online academies, correspondence programs, alternative learning experiences (ALE), homeschooling networks, atypical schools or learning environments, distance learning, hybrid learning, and any other institution (including programs that are part of an institution that would otherwise meet the definition of a Member School) primarily delivering instruction remotely. Remote schools do not require regular in-person attendance, relying instead on digital platforms, mailed coursework, or other nontraditional methods for educational delivery.
