ISSA Recognizes Achievements

ISSA – Intercollegiate Sailing Association, has bestowed awards to volunteers who have made outstanding contributions to High School sailing over the recent years:

Jeff Spranger Award: To recognize extraordinary dedication and selflessness: Rob Hurd: Rob has been a coach at Tabor Academy for over 25 years and over the years has led the New England Sailing Association for ISSA, organizing the District regattas and volunteers.  In addition, Rob has been a member of the ISSA Board contributing to the organization by serving as chairman of the Nominating Committee as well as helping reshape ISSA into the powerhouse organization.

President’s Award: To recognize exceptional service: Bill Campbell: Bill has served on the ISSA Board overseeing the Procedural Rules since 2004.  He has helped draft all the NOR and Sailing Instructions for the ISSA championships as well as maintained and updated the ISSA Procedural Rules over the years.  He has also represented ISSA on the US Sailing ISSA/ICSA Appeals Committee.

President’s Award: To recognize exceptional service: Mike Segerblom: A long standing member of ISSA, Mike has led the Pacific Coast District since 2005, with exponential growth. A constant contributor to the ISSA Board, Mike has helped usher in the online registration system and live scoring in coordination with ICSA.
