Regarding Parking, Food while at MIT

Parking can be quite challenging at MIT. There should be ample spaces available on Memorial Drive Westbound on Friday evening and on Sunday morning. Saturday might be the most difficult but we have reserved a spot for each team and race official on Saturday and Sunday morning in the Kresge Parking Lot which is over by the Athletic Department with an entrance between Amherst Alley and Danforth St. We suggest that the team get dropped off at the Sailing Pavilion and one person take the van to the lot as it is a 10 minute hike back.

Over the course of the weekend spectators should park legally on Mem Drive Westbound or on any of the Cambridge Streets (bring quarters). Other non-gated MIT parking lots are available on the weekend and are free despite the signage. There are lots at E51, E53, E48, and W85. The Cambridge Center Garage on Ames St offers paid parking options.

Food will be provided for breakfast and dinner both days at the Sailing Pavilion. There should be plenty of leftovers to munch on throughout the day, too. There is a Star Market in Central Square on Sidney Street and Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods a couple miles west of us along Memorial Drive. More prepared food options are available in Kendall Square and at the MIT Student Center on Mass Ave.

Live-Streaming Drone coverage will be visible along with Ken Legler’s play-by-play audio.
