Summary
Saturday, May 28:

4-5 knot winds from the East started the event, and an initial two sets were completed before breeze died. Sailors were brought in for a lunch break after a 30 minute on the water wait for breeze. The breeze filled shortly after allowing for for more racing from the new Northerly direction. Thunder prompted a short weather delay and despite the rain, light air racing through race 24 was completed before another glass off and loss of wind at 5pm. The event was called off for the day, with a positive Sunday forecast and enough of the event complete to finish the event on Sunday.

Thank you to our volunteers for the awesome day in between rain clouds! Umpires: Jon, Matt, Bill, Mike K., Cliff, Bob, Lars, Bruce, Mike S. Race Staff: Robby, Ava, Maeve, Leslie, Kathy, Bill, Patty, Rexann, Dawn, Jacob, Jack, and Kendall

Sunday, May 29:

Perfect MN sailing day. Sun-up greeted us with great temps and a 7-12mph breeze with small shifts. A course was set with little movement required throughout the day, with the finish just 100 feet from the dock. The final four races of the first round were quickly finished. The teams were re-seeded and then went back out for a second round robin. The second round was completed early at 2:15pm but without enough time for a gold round. Ties were broken by scores, or Sail-off when allowed by the new ISSA procedural rule stated in our SI. Thank you everyone for traveling all the way to MN and a big thanks to all of our volunteers today!
