St. George’s School Wins Team Racing Nationals High School Sailing (Interscholastic Sailing Association – ISSA) concluded the spring Championship season with the Team Racing Championship, held May 28-29 in Anacortes, WA. Twelve schools that advanced from seven district qualifiers competed in Club Flying Juniors for the Baker Trophy.

Congratulations to Point Loma High School for winning the 2014 Baker Team Race Championship in a closely fought battle with Annapolis High School. Congratulations to all 18 schools for a great event and especially to SEISA and Joanne Willits and her crew for organizing a special event.

Tabor Academy is the 2011 National Team Race Champion, with a 10-1 record. Newport Harbor finished 2nd with a 9-2 record, winning a tiebreaker race over The Hotchkiss School (also 9-2) and moving it to 3rd place.


Twelve of the best high school sailing teams came to Seattle to compete for the title of ISSA HS Team Racing Champions. After 90 races, Point Loma High School emerged as the 2010 Baker Trophy Champions.


Although racing was close throughout, Newport Harbor edged out Point Loma to win their second Spring National Title of 2009.
